Here is today’s Game and what’s going on.
Here is what I discovered today in our Dadly Daily Declaration reading from Discipline Equals Freedom by Jocko Willink.
Today’s Dadly Daily Declaration begins a new book and will be quite a bit different from previous declarations and books. There will be fewer, if any, nuggets; we’ll go straight to the declarations as this book contains Willink’s thoughts and philosophies. So, let’s jump in:
- People look for the shortcut. The hack.
- The shortcut is a lie. The hack doesn’t get you there.
- And if you want to take the easy road, it won’t take you to whee you want to be: Stronger. Smarter. Faster. Healthier. Better. Free.
Those gems lead us to today’s Dadly Daily Declaration:
To reach goals and overcome obstacles and become the best version of you possible will not happen by itself. It will not happen cutting corners, taking shortcuts, or looking for the easy way.
THERE IS NO EASY WAY.
There is only hard work, late nights, early mornings, practice, rehearsal, repetition, study, sweat, blood, toil, frustration, and discipline. DISCIPLINE.
THERE MUST BE DISCIPLINE.
