Dadly Daily Declaration

At I Am Dadly, we’re focused on improving ourselves in a multitude of ways, both big and small.  One way to see improvement is to focus on daily core items, what Garrett J. White terms “Core 4” from his Warrior Book and Warrior movement.  The Core 4, according to White, are Body, Being, Business and Balance; these four core items require daily focus and maintenance.

As we move forward with I Am Dadly, we’ll begin to introduce concepts from this Core 4 into our posts and discuss these concepts and their integration into our daily life.  One concept from the core 4 that we’ll start with is Business.  Within the daily focus on business is to Discover and Declare.  What this entails is a simple daily two step process:

  1. Discover: Read one chapter from a business, marketing, self-improvement, lifestyle design, finance, or biography each morning
  2. Declare: Share, teach, communicate the piece of knowledge you gained from that daily reading

The idea behind this daily focus is to enhance our perspective.  According to White, “New information changes our perspective, what we see, and affects our worldview.  We have to decide is the information that we’re hearing is actually taking us in the direction we want to go. Your perspective drives your production, and your production drives your profitability.  If I want to change my production, I need to shift what I’m seeing.”

So, we read one chapter every day (preferably in the morning) to discover new information or perspectives that will increase our production and shift our perspective.  Once we understand that new information, we need to share that information so that we become converted to it.  In White’s words, “it’s taking Discovery of this content and the Declaration of that content to other people by teaching it in other forms that ultimately converts your mind into seeing it differently.”

As I’ve incorporated this focus into my morning routine, I’ve noticed that I desire to read more, I’ve expanded my awareness of certain topics, and I’ve changed a few daily habits to become more productive during a typical day. It’s I Am Dadly’s hope that you experience similar results.

The plan is to have a Dadly Daily Declaration post each day focused on one chapter from a current book Dadly is reading.  We’ll share the books we’re planning to dive into and the next book as we move along.  The first book we’ll start with is Aubrey Marcus’ book, Own The Day, Own Your Life.

Tune in each day to see what Dadly has discovered from this book and what we declare.
