At I Am Dadly, we’re focused on improving ourselves in a multitude of ways, both big and small.
Our Dadly Daily Declaration series focuses on a daily core concept of self improvement from Garrett J. White: Discover and Declare. Now, we’re introducing a new series: Improve Your Talent.
This new series will detail ways in which you can enhance your skills and improve your talent. This will not be a daily post; the aim is to have 2-3 posts per week.
The first book we’ll cover is this series is The Little Book of Talent, by Daniel Coyle. Coyle’s book is an easy-to-use handbook of scientifically proven, field-tested methods to improve skills—your skills, your kids’ skills, your organization’s skills—in sports, music, art, math, and business. In Talent, Coyle breaks down the daunting complexity of skill development into 52 clear, concise directives.
Coyle is the New York Times bestselling author of The Talent Code, The Little Book of Talent, The Secret Race (co-authored with Tyler Hamilton), Hardball: A Season in Projects, and other books. Winner (with Hamilton) of the 2012 William Hill Sports Book of the Year Prize, he is a contributing editor for Outside Magazine, and works as a special advisor to the Cleveland Indians. Coyle lives in Cleveland, Ohio during the school year and in Homer, Alaska, during the summer with his wife Jen, and their four children.
Tune in each week to see what directives you should take to improve your talent.
