Dadly Daily Declaration

Be Different

Today, we continue our Dadly Daily Declaration series with insights drawn from Robin Sharma‘s newest book, The 5 AM Club: Own Your Morning, Elevate Your Life.

Our declarations around the The 10 Tactics of Lifelong Genius contained with this tome center on the Seventh tactic: Traffic University.  According to Sharma, people who commute a total of sixty minutes to and from work each day spend approximately twelve hundred days of their lives doing so—if they live an average human lifetime. That’s over three years spent in traffic or on a bus or in a train.

Instead of infecting yourself with toxic news, superficial radio banter or other negative simulation that erodes production and inner peace, Sharma stresses to be different.

To implement this tactic, Sharma recommends:

  • Listen to audiobooks
  • Consume valuable podcasts
  • The fact is, even one new idea you learn in a book or online course could make you millions or even billions of dollars. Or multiply your creativity, productivity

That leads us to today’s Dadly Daily Declaration:

Leverage you travel time – whether that’s to and from work, grocery shopping or running errands – to learn, to expand your professional prowess and personal knowledge.
