Today’s Dadly Daily Declaration comes from the final chapter (titled #1. When You’re a Cleaner…You don’t celebrate your achievements because you always want more.) of Tim Grover’s book, Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable.
This chapter is quite short and includes one gem, prior to today’s Dadly Daily Declaration:
- “The drive to close the gap between near-perfect and perfect is the difference between great and unstoppable. You never shake the uneasy feeling that you can’t ever be satisfied with your results; you always believe yo could have done better, and you stop at nothing to prove it.”
So, here is what I discovered today from this chapter:
Every dream you imagine, everything you see and hear and feel in your sleep, that’s not a fantasy, that’s your deep instinct telling you it can all be real. Follow those visions and dreams and desires, and believe what you know. Only you can turn those dreams into reality. Never stop until you do.
The greatest battles you will ever fight are with yourself, and you must always be your toughest opponent. Always demand more of yourself than others demands of you. Be honest with yourself, and you’ll be able to meet every challenge with confidence and the deep belief that you are prepared for anything. Life can be complicated; the truth is not.
You should believe you have zero limitations. Listen to your instincts. They’re telling you the truth.
Whatever drives you, let it take you where you want to be. Everything you want can be yours. Be a Cleaner and go get it.
Be relentless.
