Today’s Dadly Daily Declaration comes from Chapter 12 (titled #1. When You’re a Cleaner…You’d rather be feared than liked.) of Tim Grover’s book, Relentless: From Good to Great to Unstoppable.
To be honest, Grover did not give much in this chapter. It was difficult to find much to share, though I will share this gem:
- Are you learning and studying your craft so you know everything out there, or are you content to just show your biceps and hope that earn you respect in the gym? Few people cross that bridge successfully, in any endeavor. They think talent is enough. It’s not.
So, here is what I discovered today from this chapter:
The loudest guy in the room is the one with the most to prove, and no way to prove it. A Cleaner has no need to announce his presence; you’ll know he’s there by the way he carries himself, always cool and confident. He’s never the blowhard telling you how great he is; he’s the quiet guy focused on results, because results are all that matter.
